Cork pieces are are a great addition to your small animal enclosures! Providing new textures to explore!
Cork is also a great substrate to keep teeth trim and healthy as well as helping keep nails short.
These Cork pieces are a natural product, they have been exposed to the elements and as a result may have discolouration that appears in greys and greens. Please note: the discolouration is NOT mould and the cork is completely safe for you small animals.
As the cork pieces are a natural material that could contain small bugs, we recommend baking them before placing them in the enclosure.
Place them on a baking tray and bake the Cork pieces in the oven at 150° CELSIUS for approximately 30 to 40 minuets, checking every 10 minutes.
These arrived yesterday and I've already baked them & added to the enclosure. Nice sized pieces and they make the enclosure look so much more natural. The info sheet is very helpful too.
